No, it's counted as a bank card, since it has Visa on it, but on the other hand, you've vaulted over everyone who has the store card and can't get the Visa.

Since you're just re-establishing credit after returning to the US, I wouldn't be in an incredible hurry about getting the magic mix of cards. Mix is nice, but clean credit history is a bunch nicer. Once you have 6 months of multiple TL's reporting, you should be able to get a Macy's/ Bloomie's, Kohl's, Nordstrom, etc card. In fact, you can probably get them now, especially Macy's, but in a couple of months, you'll probably know better where you really like to shop.

BTW, I went shopping at Tarzhay last week and whipped out my $10K CL CC, expecting to see an invite on the receipt. Nada, nil, zilch.
