Anyway to save yourself the trouble of getting the incorrect card, I'd apply online. Target has separate applications up on their site for the cards.
The Target Visa was issued when the accounts were with 'Target National Bank". AS TD took over the accounts, they stopped issuing new Visas with the Target program, but current cardholders can retain their accounts.
Thank you. I was considering applying for one but if it isn't a VISA...meh. Me thinks not! Lol.
I never got a HP for my debit Redcard. It's pretty nice if you shop at Target a lot.

Ah, the Target Credit Card is a store card. I was baffled by the credit and debit apps, but now it makes a bit more sense. And it's one less card to be tempted by.

I wonder if Target wil start reissuing VISAs through TD bank...hmmm. If so...I'd sooo apply.
I'd still be interested in their store cards but I had heard that the CLs were a joke with the store cards - like $300 toy limits. Not worth a HP for a toy limit. Hopefully they've changed that practice.
Also, a little extra information apply in store not online. If you apply in store they give you the 5% off that day (it comes out of your account or goes onto credit that day depending on the card you get) and receive a temporary card until the actual one comes in the mail. It's a nice little bonus because you get auto-approved and you always get the temporary card upon approval in store.

Not with the new apps under TD Bank. My initial CL was $1000...I was pleased.

That'd be nice if they did, or if they struck a deal with another payment network.
