Congrats on the CLI. There is no set dollar amount for conversion from store card to credit card. Some have decent credit limits on store cards, and then you have me - mine was opened 15 years ago at $1200 and they actually gave me a CLD to $800 when it converted to a Visa card around 2005 and stayed that way through the next couple of banks to own the account. Starting last year it finally started to grow and I've received a CLI every 6 months since. My next statement closes in a little over a week so hopefully that will continue. But certainly some people continue to get the upgrade with lower credit limits.
