This card is ok, I started out at a 300 limit and have had 2 increases since opening it less then a year ago, I shop there about once a month so having a huge CL is not a big deal, I do like the 5% which is why I apped for it but it is definitely not a must have card. I think this card is probably worth it if you shop there very regularly and want the option of carrying a balance
As others have said, it's worth it for the easy 5% you get when you shop there.
The card doesn't really grow much.
I don't shop at Target much so it's probably one of my least used cards.
I do use it every time I go to Target though..so I guess it has its uses.
@recruiter89 wrote:Thanks for all the advice. However after considering the 5%, isnt that pretty worthless? I mean I spend probably $200-$300 a month at Target but 5% just amounts to around $15?? I think I can get this through other cards. Do they offer specials and rewards to members carrying the card?
Free S&H on website orders is a consistent perk. That's come in hand for me many times, especially on large items.
But as has been said, "worth" is largely subjective. Is it worth getting a Citi DC for an extra 0.5% CB if you already have a QS? Is it "worth" getting Chase AARP for 3% dining when my Costco TE has 2% dining? I guess it depends on if you think the rewards are worth the HP over the life of a card. For me, Target was worth it. For others, it wouldn't be.
okay I understand. No issues. I guess what I should of asked is, are there significant rewards Target offers to card members? Special discounts etc?

Lol, have you not been reading the 3 pages of responses?
Free Shipping online orders and 5% off everyday AND 30 days more to return stuff for members ![]()
The Target card member perks are actually quite good compared to other store cards.
Biggest gripe I've seen about Redcard is that you'd be one of the "lucky ones" to have a $2000 credit limit by the time you're 100 years old
Here be the picture if you like pictures more than reading

I love my Target card. The 5% is nice. They started me with a $300 limit in May and last month they gave me an auto CLI to $800.
