Don't ever be scared to pay any card down to zero.
I had a balance when they lowered my limit. So I don't think that makes a difference. I paid my balance down to under $300 barely, I think it was in the mid $200's and they lowered my limit to $300. I'm trying to remember but I don't think my scores had changed much prior. I have a lot of cards and even have new ones since target lowered my limit. I'm not sure if it had/has anything to do with Covid, but target has been the only one to lower my limit.
I paid mine down to 0 last billing cycle and they upgraded me to the target mastercard + dbled my limit. Dont worry about it im sure most people had some change to their credit report even if subtle to them.
Same here. I don't know why. Ugh.
I paid it off (along with other cards) and my limit went from 1100 to 300. It was initially approved at 700 which really sucks.
