Received this offer from Discover via email earlier today (10/24). Spend on my card has been low in the last few months. I always seem to get these after weeks of little to no use of the card.

certainly targeted. enjoy
Nice. So I assume the "Extra 6%" would mean 7% total? Very cool.
Nice offer.
Has to be targeted ...as I got nada on either Disco card![]()

No, it would be 6% on grocery spend up to $1,000 max.
This offer is separate from the quarterly categories of Target and Amazon. Those are still 5% back up to $1,500 max.
The "extra" is just pointing out that this offer is in addition to the quarterly categories.

Nice. Me no get. Yet.

Discover gives unlimited 1% on all non-5% category spend. The offer states "in addition to your regular rewards", so it should be 7% on groceries up to $1,000.

I've received offers like this in the past, and they never gave an additonal 1%. I had this same offer last summer and I maxed it out. There was not an additional 1% cash back.
The 'in addition' note is just to make sure those targeted know this is not a change to the quarterly catergory reward structure.

I would have much preferred that offer. I maxed out the Mobile Pay quarter in July and there has been no spend on my Discover since. Probably why I recieved this offer.
