I had discover since 2008 and the credit line never moves im really considering closing it. I rarely use it. Do you think it will hurt?

It still won't hurt you to close it
I doubt it's holding you back, but it probably doesn't matter either way if you close it or leave open.
Honestly I don't know what I would spend up to $1500 on home improvement this quarter....most annoying category lol.

I am remolding my bathroom, so say i use this card with my contractor i get 1% back??
Do you need more credit or just want more because of your other limits? I don't think I would close one of the better cards out there because of a 15k limit. They do have some nice rotatong categories and their customer service, second to none. Just my opinion. YMMV.

Hmm, not sure, it depends how your contractor codes the transaction I guess. If it qualifies it's 5% back after you enroll online.
wow I never knew the discover it had 5% cash back!!... My stove is on the frits!! and its wolf!! they said it will last a lifetime yeah right!! LOL My friend ownS a appliance store I wonder if I would get 5% cash back I would get about $600.00 back!!!

LOL, yes Discover it has quarterly 5% bonus categories!! For home improvement it's capped on $1500 worth of purchases
