Thanks Synchrony!

So, Synchrony reported 0 balance on 11/25. I bought a darn electric blanket on 11/26 (don't judge, it was a great deal and it appealed to my frugal side). Charge posted on 29th, and I paid it the same day, but somehow they reported AGAIN on 29th showing $39 balance. Thank you Synchrony for protecting the public from my out of control spending. They totally spoiled my relationship with warm, plush fuzzy blanket.

Re: Thanks Synchrony!

In the grand scheme of the credit game, this seems minor...don't worry about the small stuff.  It will drive you crazy.  Happy New Year!

It's actually helping your scores - reporting small balances rather than "$0.00" - if you are not paying interest why sweat the small stuff?

Re: Thanks Synchrony!

It only helps you if all of your other cards have a balance of zero. I never had the opportunity for this happen during the few months that I had CareCredit, but goofiness like this is a big reason why I closed the card.

Re: Thanks Synchrony!

I've read about this issue with Synchrony account reporting several times in the last week or so on here.  I've never experienced it personally with my Lowe's account, but it does seem to be happening a bit more often lately based on the posts I've read.

Re: Thanks Synchrony!

It's just a waste of bandwith. I'll buy a pack of gum and beef jerky stick today. They can report that, too, and I get to live on the edge!

I've never had it happen with the Lowe's account.

Re: Thanks Synchrony!

Seems to happen alot to me lately too. Seemsif you dont use your card in awhile, then use it, you could be weeks from due date or statement cut and bam, magically already reporting to cb. Then having to wait for the cb like TU or EQupdate its paid off is kinda crazy lol, but in the end, making the payment on time is most importantSmiley Wink
