Ive  been reading  boards  for about 2 months.  Great  to see that the possibilty to improve my credit  is out there.  Applied to Penfed for  CC  5k and was declined, that hurt.  With that and what I learned here  I decided to see about increasing  cls.  Cap One said yes, from 500 to 1k. nice .   Macys said yes also 800 to 1300. I asked nicely and csr increased to 1800. nice.  I tried Chase next and thy went from 200 to 400. I tried  supervisor  and he transfered me to lending ? dept . She nicely said no more ,try again in 3-6 months. She specifically said to try opening another card.  Something better than nothing. Thanx to board because I would not have tried  this before.   Good to see that with patience and planning , the possibility is there.
