The Good "ol Days

Anyone remember in the late 90s/early 00's before the .com bubble burst and our economy went into the crapper how easy it was to get a high CL? My first card was an AT&T Universal Card with an initial limit of $700.  Every couple of months I'd hit the "credit line increase" button (or as I say "shake the money tree) and they'd just increase my limit, no filling out forms, nuttin.  In two years, my CL increases were $700-$1200-$2200-$3100-$5000-$6500-$8100.  Similarly on a BankOne card, my initial CL was $5k, only to be raised to $13k w/o me even asking, and in just a few short months of opening the account!

About $215,000 total credit among 11 cards
