The plot thickens part II.

As many of you know, I've been wanting the shopping cart trick to work at one other site besides Victoria Secret (which isn't usefull since I'm a dude).

I tried the SCT trick on over 15 websites, and none other got a pop-up.

Today, I pulled all 3 CR's from annual credit report, been over a year so it was time anyway.

The only softpull was from Victoria Secret, on all 3 CR's.

Does the shopping cart trick do a softpull each time you do it, or does the SP only occur when you accept the offer?

Farm and Fleet $3,000 (AU) Paypal Extras MC $1,500
Barclay's Apple Visa $1,200 QVC Qcard $800
Amazon Store Card $600 Discover $500
Walmart MC $400 Victoria's Secret $350
Credit One $300 Fingerhut $200

I think they have to SP you to at least give you the offer. I've never had a pop-up with ANYONE, incuding VS...lol. Good luck in the future anyway!

SPs are fine, not to worry. Soft Pulls, Account Reviews (AR), and a few other "inquiries" are only kept on file by the Credit Bureau and shown to you for your benefit. Lenders don't see any SP or AR.

I actually like to see the SP on the report, because it means that some thought went into sending out the marketing material, rather than a blanket mailing to everyone, such as every single IHG or Marriott member, or a mass e-mail from PenFed when they had no intention of issuing an account to me anytime soon.

I was going to garden... Honest!
