We currently own a points package (free and clear except monthly maintence fees) with Wyndham. One of the issue that I have with using our points is how we travel. We are WDW passholder and visit the parks often usually Sat.-Mon. and stay on a Wyndham property. The problem is "housekeeping credits", you're alotted so many HKC for every 1K points you own and it doesn't matter if you book one night or a week the points cost you the same depending on the room size. So if you do a bunch of little weekends you are going to have to start paying for extra HKC points.
The Club Calson Premier Visa will give us 5% back in all category spend. Putting a min. of $2K a month on it could net us 120K points. Now if we stayed at the Country Inn in Orlando for just two night it would cost us 30K points. Essentially this card could give us 4 free mini weekend trips a year and we can bank our points with Wyndham or RCI for longer vacations in and out of the US.
Been running this through my head all day...sorry for the long post.
