Re: Those recently approved for "Blue"...

I thought you had to be over 700 for the Blue.

Re: Those recently approved for "Blue"...

I called this morning and should be getting my Blue in the mail in 7 to 10 days!!!!!! 11.74% APR and still a 1K limit, but NO ANNUAL FEE!

I threw out the "product change" and they were all over it Smiley Happy I'm so glad I have you guys! Thanks for giving me the confidence to go after what I want.

Re: Those recently approved for "Blue"...

I have a 1k limit with my delta and they wouldn't give me a blue...they offered me hilton honors or starwood.. my score is 642...I guess your right it about the 700 score

Re: Those recently approved for "Blue"...

Did you call and use the words "product exchange" ???  This seem odd to me because  I have the same scores you have and they did it without hesitation...  My cl is 1,000.00 as well...

Yeah, I think the consensus is that you have to say "product change" or something like that, otherwise they will treat it as a new application. I say this because I only had a 1K limit and my EX score is 633 and they did it for me with no problems. They even spent some time with me on the phone trying to help me pick the Blue card I wanted best (rewards vs. cash back, etc).

Maybe you could try calling again?

Re: Those recently approved for "Blue"...

I thought about applying for the Blue again but I wanted to try for the Delta and was approved. Take a look at the signature with my scores...I was amazed when they approved my butt and for 2k LOC. heheh.

I applied for an Amex Blue.  I was approved.  They pulled Experian.  My Experian score is/was around 740.
