After getting a new card last month, I was determined to not app for a while, but here I am. Next month I am going to app for RBFCU PR, Navy CR, and AMEX BCP.
I think RBFCU and Navy will pull TU. I am trying to get high SLs on those. Does it matter which one that I app for first?
My TU report will have only one inquiry in the last year, and my total util will be about 2% from 4%. I am not sure I can squeeze any more points out of the utilization metric. The other day, I received an email from Navy with an invite to apply for the CR. It includes an offer for 0% BT for 12 mos that I like.
I've prequalified for AMEX BCP and BCE. Hopefully, those are good. I decided to go for BCP.
IMHO, Navy is not that sensitive to Inquiries. So you might APP the other first?
They are more sensitive to DTI.
Are you currently an AMEX cardholder? If so, the AMEX app will likely be a SP. The last double app I ran I did AMEX first, that way there was no visible inq to either lender to be seen from the other. They could always do a HP on you still, but it's unlikely.

I wouldn't do that. Sprees are so 2015.
The Navy card offer sounds good.
The BCP will be there, possibly with a 0% intro offer too. But going for BCE leaves open an upgrade bonus after you've had that card a year.
Good luck if you go for it.
An app spree in the age of the coronavirus? Seems like a risky idea to me.

Yeah, that's the plan for now - going to app with RBFCU first.
I had a 3 app spree last week, got approved for 2 of the 3.
The one I was denied had nothing to do with the number of inquiries or my credit score. It is because I didn't have an existing relation with that bank, yet they still did a HP anyway. 😡

Nah, I don't have AMEX. But I have read a lot of good things about them on this board. Good to know about SP for card holders.
Keep us posted on that app spree. I recently got approved for 3 new credit cards myself and I'm wondering if it will spook any of my current lenders given the economic situation we find ourselves in. Time will tell!

Same here, same here. Got 4 new cards (first in over 7 years lol) at the end of June/start of July then refinanced my student loans again and definitely not planning on anything else until at least a year from now when I might go for a mortgage depending on the housing market.
