It says that applying for CC in a short period of time can hurt your credit score right. So my question: What is the time frame before applying for another cc? after 3 or so months? Please give me an idea. I was declined for a cc lately so I want to apply for another cc. Thanks.

Looking at the cards you have, you may want to apply in 6 mos to a year especially f there are annual fees involved.  Give it about one month before the annual fee isdue (this should be on the prior statemet then apply for a different card that ofers no annual fee.  Keep your citi and let it grow.  More than likely they will graduate you to unsecured if you show responsible management in time and that is a good bank to have a foot in the door with.

Re: Time frame for applying another CC

I'm not applying for 12 months at least, I recently opened a USAA AMEX, a Blue Cash AMEX, Starwood AMEX, and Chase Freedom Visa Signature. The Starwood is getting cancelled after the first year lol! I plan to use the Blue Cash and Freedom together to get max cash back.
