I have 6 cards and 4 of the cards have CL's of $20k-$25k each. I have not had an auto CLI on those cards in many years. My newest card is an 18 month old Chase Freedom and I've never had an auto CLI on that card.
My FICO (TU-Discover) is 810. It looks like my high limit cards (BofA, Citi, and Chase) all require HP for CLI requests. Should I still request CLI on those considering I already have $25K limit on those cards? My total CL limit on my 6 cards is $122k.
Yes, request high CLIs and they will either give you the full amount of make a counter-offer.

Do you need the CLIs and are they worth the HPs? If you can say "yes" to both questions, maybe it's worth it. But if you're goal is to open new account or go for a major purchase (car, home, etc), then I wouldn't.
I don't need the CLI's. It's probably more that I'm annoyed that I haven't had an increase on those cards in so many years. We just refinanced and won't be doing it again in the near future. I'm thinking that taking a HP now is as good time as any right now.
edit: btw, I just logged into Citi and it did not say it will be a HP, so I pulled the trigger and got a $2200 auto CLI.

looks like you can afford HP, and your ego craves for it. I say, go for it!
