Tiny CITI CLI with hard pull

Citi only extended my credit line 500 dollars after I requested with required hard pull. This hasn't happened since I was starting out with credit. My FICO score with them is 790; my line only went from 8800 to 9300... Hard pulls have always gotten me at least 2k ahead... Has this happened to anyone?

They're often like that with some people. I have no idea why.

It just shows to show you score isn't everything. They have some reason why they do not want to extend you more credit. It sucks wasting a HP for that kind of CLI, but sucks even more if declined outright.

It does happen.  Do you use the card heavily? Since you took the HP, I'd suggest contacting their EO you want a bigger CLI..

It turns out they didn't want to raise it because of the income I reported to them. They reported that my limit was the maximum they could offer. I prefer to report less than I get in income. That's ok with me then, at least now I know.
