Here’s my dilemma: I want two cards from Chase: the CSP and Marriott Premier. Based on the spend requirements for bonus points and time needed to receive the credits, I’m thinking I should step out of the garden to app for the Marriott card, then replant myself for 6 -12mos before I app for the CSP.
I have a conference in Nov. that takes place at a Marriot and will take vacation (not sure where yet) this summer – probably will stay at a Marriott. So, if I am approved, I will be able to use this card for both. I can easily wait for the CSP, as I have Freedom, and can continue to amass points on it.
Any advice??

NO NO NO
I'm joking when was your last app and how many INQ'S
You know what you want and you have a reasonable plan. What's holding you back?
@myjourney
TU & EX have 1 from 05/12
EQ has 4, but 3 were from auto loan shopping on same day.
Last app was March '13 for Discover It. I knnow really, really new, but they gave me a solid CL at $6,500.
That's easy - fear of rejection.

If i remember right discover hasn't shown up on CR right? If so and you want it IMO go for it now
Discover has reported to EQ & TU, but still waiting for it to show up on EX.
As long as AAoA is good and at least a solid year of credit card history
you know chase is picky
IMO you have a good shot
If your credit history is longer than 1 year, go for it. I have all the reasons to assume your income is more than sufficient
Depending on report, AAoA is 7 to 8 years. Obviously, my '07 BK7 is still reporting, but I have been absolutely perfect since then on CCs and installment loans.
Think I will have a glass of wine, and think about this some more. If I decide to go for it, would that count as drapping?
