Re: To apply or not to apply - that is the question

I understand the verification process, but dont understand the account set up- it seemed a little generic, cannot log in, says still in processing of being created.  I done a chat session, they gave me a number to call with the hours of operation, so I can call in late.  It would be really nice, would be a great way of being able to help my son more easily

Thanks for the support - it's a great forum to be on

It takes a couple of days to setup the account you will get a email when its ready...It allows you to create it but thats itSmiley Sad

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: To apply or not to apply - that is the question

Well, now I am really wondering.  I still cannot get any info from checking the app status on line.  But....I just received an alert from Credit Karma that I had a payment posted to my Best Buy account dated yesterday.....I haven't rec'd any alerts on any of the monitoring systems that my credit had been pulled by any one yet.

Ugh....the waiting games

Re: To apply or not to apply - that is the question

I would like to say a giant THANK YOU to all on here, I did call in to Discover this morning, had to verify some items....was APPROVED, did not get the introductory deferred for 12 mos, did not get any of that actually, however, $1500 and of course the rewards......I am so happy now that I finally have something other than a Capital One card....will be closing the Household Card account that transferred to Cap One, since it is stuck at $305.00 now

Again,,,,thank you

Re: To apply or not to apply - that is the question

Thanks, it feels good.....that is 2 pluses for me this year....new truck loan - tier B - better than tier C, and now a Discover card.

Woo Hoo

Sorry, I know that it sounds silly, but with all that I have gone thru financially - it feels like I hit the jackpot

Thanks
