So, what is going to happen if I have a secured capital one card and a cash rewards for average credit card. I have a orchard bank that is currently on it way to converting to a capital one card. Should I close my secured before the orchard switches over? The orchard is my longest account an I don't want to risk it being closed.
I say you consider keeping both open. How long is the history on the secured card?
Where did you hear that Orchard is converting to Cap One? I know they were taken over by Cap One, but AFAIK it will remain an OB card.

Nope. Capital One plans to send out new cards in the Spring to replace the Orchard Bank cards. It is on their website under FAQs.
But will they actually be Cap One branded? They took over another one of my HSBC cards and I got a new card with a C1 logo in the corner, but it's still my old card.
Maybe I'm looking at the wrong FAQs. The one I see didn't mention anything about new cards being sent out.
Capital one sent me a email stating there in the process of moving my account over to capital one, but for now to keep using my card and paying the bill etc.
I opened OB in may 12, and capital one in july 12.
