That one looks like flipped Quicksilver

I couldn't quite put my finger on why I kept feeling depressed everytime I was around my AR card. Thanks to you, I now do!

What cards are eligible to PC to the AR? Aside from that, at least they're about to have design parity with the Go and Connect.

AFAIK there is no option to product change into the AR, you can downgrade the AR to the Go card I think

I can confirm. I downgraded my AR to A-GO.

You should have waited to see what's the refresh. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If they kill the 1.5x multiplier when redeeming for travel purchases via RTR it will be an easy decision for me to PC the card or close it.

While that particular nerf wouldn't make it a 'terrible' card by any means it would no longer be a good fit for me, since most of my purchases qualify for 3x on one of my exisiting no-AF cards anyway (and without using mobile pay) - it's the extra 1.5x that justifies the AF on the Altitude Reserve for me.

Granted, I'll have to go to using two/three cards in place of the one, but I'm already used to carrying multiple cards so that's not a big deal.

One reason why RTR going away vs the portal wouldn't be such a deal breaker is because of the airlines I use.     If I book with Delta, RTR is (almost) certainly going to work.   But if I want to go with BA or Virgin or KLM, much less certain,  and so, if I want to use reward points, I have to go to the portal anyway.

With the new design refresh, the card doesn't look much of a premium card anymore. But again not many people carry it. They just use it for mobile wallet. I started carrying it after they added the 3X dining category to use at restaurants. The card did stand out.

I'm sad.  I've never been approved for this card despite being a long-time customer of USB.

Re: U.S. Bank (USB) to Stop Accepting Apps for Altitude Reserve on 11/30

Like most people, if they kill 1.5x multiplier i will not be renewing this card come April. Sadly, I do have a feeling they will just make it a flat 1xcent  to be more in line with the Go and Connect. If they do this, hopefully they bump mobile wallet up to 4x. If they keep it at 3x but drop the 1.5x to 1x im Pcing it to the Go in April.

If they come up with something like 5x travel, 4x mobile wallet etc., with 1 cent a point I would likely still keep it.

I've booked on BA and Virgin, and both triggered the RTR redemption.

From what I remember, both airlines also triggered the text for the full amount of all tickets.
Other airlines like AA, split the purchase by individual tickets, so if you're buying more than one, the RTR text only allows you to redeem for 1 ticket, which kinda sucks if you want the whole purchase to be covered.
