Sorry just annoyed 300-500k. I will keep a Chase checking open just because they are everywhere. But the one savings I had with them to have their top level checking accounts will be closed and the money will be sent to a CU or online. Chase is getting a little cocky, if you ask me.
I don't work for BOA, but they still have the 10% hehe

Spending ten thousand dollars gets you an extra ten dollars at the end of the year, which isn't that much. You'd have to spend 100,000 just to get $100. I don't see this as a reason to close or put away any Chase accounts, but that's just me.
Still $10 is better then $0? nothing to write home about but still free money
I have said this before people who can afford to spend 100k on a credit are usually not worried about $10. I know I wouldn't be.

What hold the phonesyou spend 300-500k a month or a year on the Freedom card? If you spend that kind of money why wouldn't you get a Palladium and spend 100k and get the 30k bonus. Or spread out the CC to like SPG, PRG or CSP?
I am not a financial advisor but how much could be gained by switching to a CU? If you have that much money then wouldn't you be better served to have CPC relationship and earn money thru Mutual Funds or a Bond Fund which would still return you more money than a 1% CU account.
Also doesn't the bonus end after 2015? Then why close it now because your angry meanwhile along the way you will still lose 10%.
Sorry but the numbers don't add up.

If i had that much excess cash i would definately make sure i am maxed out on all my tax advantaged accounts, but its your money you can do whatever you want with it. Am i missing something ?
I spend 300-500k between CSP & Freedom per year, not a month, and I am thinking UR points. I won't give Chase's investment side J.P. Morgan the 250k the banker wants for a Pallidium card hence why I don't have it. As for return on investments most of that is held with Northern Trust along with tax advantaged accounts, a smaller portion in a MF with Fidility (brother in-law works there). I said I was downgrading the CSP and sockdrawering the Freedom after December 2015.
Yet after cooling my jets I will probably continue to use UR points as long as United and Hyatt have good value. Just feel annoyed by Chase first 10 points per transaction, than 7% on the CSP, now 10% on the Freedom. Also 100k is only 10k in points per the bonus but doing quick math that's 1/3 a flight to Paris from my current location in Florida. Is it a huge deal no? Can I afford to just buy the ticket? Sure. The whole point of using these companies CC is to avoid paying for the ticket though, no matter if you spend 10,000 or 1,000,000 per year.

I do agree with with paying using these CCC to not have to spend money on a trip if you don't have to. Of course if you are spending 300-500k a year on the card then I would consider that a huge hit. The reason I said Palladium is because of the bonus especially with you spend. Not many people want to give someone 250k but I guess I was looking at it on the investment side and a CC to boot. I guess i wouldn't care if I had 1m with Citi earning 10% or 1m with Chase earning 10% as long as my returns were the same but the bonus would be having the Palladium.
You and I have simiiar investment vechicles I have money in a low risk tax free USAA bond fund. Also Mutual Funds thru Fidelity. The banker in Chase has been asking me to open up a CPC but right now I feel as though my investments are doing just fine.
You don't have access to the INK card?

I have the CSP but it was only for the 40K UR bonus... it'll be sock drawered until I PC it to the regular CS. I love the IHG card and all of it's benefits. If those change, I'll take all of my business from Chase back to NFCU.
That's an interesting take , on CSP. I would disagree about value of CSP. Its an lot more versatile. I may be biased but I am not big fan of hotel cards, since their point values are pretty horrid.
MOST hotel cards... LOL.

The only one that has decent value is spg and hyatt, other like Marriot, IHG, Hilton have pretty dismal values!!! not worth UR or MR points IMO

Agreed. And MR transfer rate to SPG is horrible and not worth it IMO. I was mainly referring to the Hyatt card.
