I did call US Bank CS and they told me exisiting customer and new customer will have that fee. So the answer nope unfortunely.
Are there cases where a card moving from no-FTF to charging grandfathered people in? I guess there's no reason why it couldn't happen but I can't recall one.
That I do not know becuase I did ask the rep and she said said the FTF fee will be applied to the grandfatherd people too. I said OK and end of discusion. Who knows what US Bank will do becuase first I asked them in May and they said the No FTF will remain the same and all of the suddend yesterday Sep 9,2024 the terms and condition changed. I can't trust banks now.

How about the Wells Fargo Autograph? The standard one, not the Autograph Journey. The no annual fee version is a Visa with no FTF. It's marketed as a travel card, but you can use the points as cash back for 1 cent per point. The card has a number of categories which earn 3 points per dollar.
I called Wells Fargo about about the autograph and how they redeem rewards and they even say you need a checking or a savings accont with them to redeem the whole amount. It does sound great 3% but when coming to redeem points you need a checking or a saving acocunt with them other you will be left with a small amount them. No Thanks. That is what US Bank is doing. I think I apply Amazon credit card and they have no annual and no TFT. It is by chase and so I called chase and they said to redeem points you DON'T NEED a checking or a savings account with them (I like the answer and it is muci to my ears) and that you can give us your peferred checking or savings account and we will deposit in there. So I will apply to Amazon credit card soon probabbly next year. Even for chase own credit card it still the same when redeeming for cash back no need to have a checking or a savings account. Every bank should do like what chase is doing and SHOULD NOT require to setup a checking or savings account juse to redeem cash back. I don't like chase but hey they have my answer what I want to I will apply Amazon credit card soon. I am waiting to see if Capital One has new credit card coming that will be Visa so I am going to wait until next year.
You can redeem the Autograph rewards by taking a statement credit on your credit card account at 1 cent per point. No need for a checking or savings account in that situation.

Yes know that and I did call Walls Fargo and I spoke the rep. I did not my homework ahead of time when I was speaking to the rep. I said what about taking a statement credit on my credit account and then you can send me a check becuase I don't want to create a checking or savings account and then the rep said then you will not get all the cash back. You need to create a checking or savings account and then you can get all the cash back that you have your credit card.

Perhaps the rep may not have fully understood your question, or they might have been misinformed. You can use rewards to completely offset a charge you have already incurred, or you can simply process a manual reward redemption in the form of a statement credit. Both of those cases will result in 1 cent per point valuation. I believe there used to be a $25 minimum redemption threshold for people without a Wells Fargo checking or savings account, but that isn't the case now. What you can't do is redeem rewards to an external bank account (a non Wells Fargo account) via ACH.

I called 2x and spoke with a different rep and they say the same thing and it has been lowered to a minimum $20 redemption if you are doing a statement credit. If you have a checking or savings accunt that does not apply. Yes that is problem since I don't want to create a checking or saving account I want to transfer to my perffered checking or savings account. With Citi Bank and Chase I called and ask the rep for their credit redemption and they told me they don't have that policy and that you can transfer your cash back to your perffered checking savings account with the bank you have. So this is the reason I will not pick Wells Fargo and I will get a Amazon credit account since it is by chase. So now I know if Amazon suddenly charge a FTF I will be picking chase or another credit card of their or Citi credit that has no FTF. If Amazon credit sudenly charge a FTF I will made a new post there to let people know just like what I did with USBank Altitude Go. I hope I helped anyone who has a USBank Altitude Go credit card.
