Hi Everyone,
I have purchase 11 items on my credit card and it is new. I already paid off the items. I did click on the Reddem for 500 points for if you buy something and it tells you do you wan to use your points to cover the purchase and when I click that I have 500 points loaded on my acccount. My othe question is since I paid off my 11 itmes on my credit how come I don't see my points added and it is still 500 points. So does it add the points when the statment closed and then you see the points added to your credit card? I am new to US Bank credit card. All my other credit card Discover card, Capital One, and TD bank after when I purchase and pay I do see my rewards add up but with US Bank Altitiude Go it still stays the same the 500 points and it did not increase.
I don't have us bank but Amex seems to do the same. It's been telling me $22 for almost a month now but I do notice when the statement closes that's when I get credited. Maybe US Bank is the same.
Yes, US Bank, like Amex and Chase, add rewards to the account after statement closing.
Thank you.
What is the best way to redeem US Bank Altitude Go Visa points?
Good question. I don't have a checking account with USBANK then I would be as a credit statement. If 90 days you don't use it USBANK will send you a check. I would wait for the check to come. You can use it for merchandise. I would perfer cash back.
In several rewards cards, using the points for cashback results the worst rate (1:1). I saw in the USBank portal that it is feasible to purchase some GCs like Macy's with 10% discount. If you shop there, it can be a better way instead of cashing the points. Anyway, the other portals like Amex provide much better rates for the GCs (~1.5).
I have two Altitude cards (Go/Connect) and their points are merged. I am looking for the best redemption rates either as GC, dining or travel.
