USA Credit

Has anyone ever heard or dealt with this company? I got a phone call today saying I'm preapproved for a 2.5K credit card for use on their website www.usashoppingclub.com. I gave them my info (I'm kicking myself right now) and they said there is 0APR and no fees but a one time 109.95 activation fee. Someone PLEASE tell me this is legit and not a scam I'm worryig bigtime right now

Re: USA Credit

First, you need to stop applying. I know you want to improve your credit score, but applying credit non-stop will kill your scores. Your FICO scores is really low for any prime lenders.

Second, USA Shopping Club have bunch of negatives comments. Some said it is a rip off site because they charge 2x-3x higher for price compare to other competitors. Others said they are a complete scam. Do Google search online.

Third, I have not heard any lenders calling to individuals to inform of their preapproval. Lenders sent mails (sometimes email) to inform preapproval, but no one would phone call you.

The way I see it, this is a complete scam (but legit like First Premier), especially $109.95 activiation fee which apart from First Premier no one would do such thing. Keep a very close eye on all three of your credit reports and say no to USA Credit.

Re: USA Credit

Some quick googling turned up these.

Rip off report

pissed off consumer

consumer complaints

Seems to be a legitimate company, just more of a sub-prime fingerhut.

You really should be more cautious about giving a stranger over the phone your personal information, especially for a company you never heard of to the point you had to come online to ask people.

Shame on you! Smiley Tongue
