USAA World MC

I've been shopping insurance rates for a few scheduled items not fully covered by most policies. After speaking with my dad he recommended I call USAA. It only took a couple of minutes to get an account set up in order to get a quote. After speaking with one of their reps I did a little looking around on the website before logging off. I noticed the "My Offers" tab and clicked on it. There was an offer for a World MC with 14.9% APR, 0% intro APR on BT's until 5/2015 and a 2,500 point bonus after my 1st purchase. I thought what the heck, I don't have a World MC. I clicked on the link and everything was auto-filled. I few clicks later and boom instant approval for $7k. After applying I noticed that all the original terms of the offer were approved except my card approval said Platinum instead of World MC. I called and after being transferred to a Sr. Rep I explained that the main reason I applied was to get the World MC as I currently did not have one. She reviewed all of my app info and couldn't tell me why I had received the Platinum instead of World MC. I told her the main reason I applied was due to their pre-selected offer for a "World MC". She asked me to hold for a moment and when she returned she said it was taken care of. She told me that when I receive my new card all I need to do is call in and activate the card and while I have the rep on the phone let them know that I want to upgrade to the World MC and they would immediately upgrade the card and send me a new card. The Sr. Rep said she was notating my account so that when called back I would already be per-approved for the upgrade. I am already very impressed with USAA!!! Outstanding customer service!!!

Re: USAA World MC

Thanks. I really didn't need the new card and was supposed to be gardening but thought it was a good offer. We are looking to purchase a new home this fall and feel it would be good to have an established relationship with USAA.

You indicated you were thinking of buying a house in the fall. Just wondering if you meant next year
