Does anyone know if USB allows BTs to be used to pay off PLs?
Trying to avoid BTing to a no BT fee card that does allow PL pay offs and then BTing to USB.

I don't know if they will let you request a BT online for the personal loan pay-off. If the loan is with another financial institution, you could call the number on the back of your card and request a convience check for your card and mail it to the financial institution that holds your PL.

Yes we have had success. You just can't write the check to US Bank... yet I believe they do allow you to write it to yourself (as a way to get around some rules).
I can't guarantee everyone will qualify for convenience checks; I don't recall seeing or hearing of any special requirements to receive them... but all banks have fine print that basically says they can deny any charge or balance transfer for any reason including no reason at all.
I would verify the interest rate including any promotional offer when using the checks to make sure you get the rate you expect.
(F.Y.I. US Bank has some pretty nice rates right now if you decide to refinance into a new PL vs BT).
