Re: USBank Prequalify

Your scores are in a place that you should be able to get any card you want as long as inquiries are under control.

One thing also to keep in mind is USBank pulls LexisNexus and/or Sagestream on top of TU. It's been recommended to freeze these before app'ing for USBank, but once again, with your scores I don't see any issues.

i think the current advice is not to freeze the lexis and sagestream, because now they are doing automatic denials if you do that.

I applied for the cash+ with a thin credit file. No previous history with them. Scores were around 720-760's across and got approved for $5k. This was a few months ago.

wasn't an instant approval. Took about a week. Hope this helps

what did your file look like when you apped? how many cards and accts did you have already and how old were they? did you have an existing bank acct with us bank?

I had just cleared up the derog I had.

I had car loan that was 2 years and 6 months old. I paid it for 6-7 months then paid off the truck since I hated the bank it was with.

I had a cap one card with a $600 limit that was just under 2 years old.

I also was an AU on a chase card that was a little over 5 years old with a $10k limit.

this was all I had on my credit file when I applied. I got a few other cards at the same time but they weren't reporting yet. And I had I believe 4 or 5 inquiries at the time. The others were from the other cards I got. And as stated I didn't have any previous relationship with USB prior. After they did approve me I have since opened a checking account with them since it's free if you have a credit card and makes it easy to pay the bill.

Do not freeze any ancillary reports if you want to get approved
More than two new accounts in the last year, wait till you're below, because that's where it gets iffy.
Good luck
