Hi,
Does anyone have any recent data points or experience with USBank and total CC credit limits higher than 50K? I have 2 cards with them whose total is 50K, and they stopped giving me CLI's years ago right at the 50K mark. I've read mixed things about this 50K limit so wanted to ask here.
Since USBank does not consolidate CL's, does anyone know how I could ago about (for example) obtaining a third card that would push me over that limit? Do they treat new lines differently than CLI's when it comes to this 50K limit?
Thanks!
I currently have 60k, any increase seems to require a denial, and a call into underwriting where I plead my case, and usually get something. You'll likely to recieve more via a new product vs a CLI. They love to give new lines out in my experience. I know there is at least one member that has 75k on a AR.

Thank you! This may come in handy if the new Smartly product holds up.
Relatedly, what do you say to the underwriter when asking for higher CL than 50K (and keep a straight face)?
I haven't asked for more than $40k, so I'm not sure. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
With 3 cards, I am also at $60k total credit limit with US Bank. I've received two automatic CLIs of $5k each within the past 10 months with moderate usage (less than 30% utilization at any particular time, usually less than 10%).
I'm at 82k combined limits, 2@25k and 2@16k. SP was declined last month so unlocked TU and was declined with HP. 10+ year cc and checking customer with direct deposit. 790-800 FICO's high income for what it's worth.
I don't have US Bank cards but I can tell you of two more data points that show there isn't a $50K cap on individual or combined credit card accounts with US Bank. These were both on a single card.

I don't really get the need to get a CLI that 𝘓𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦 that one would neither use a good amount of it or just wanting to use it for emergencies, which is the worst thing that a person could do as it tributes to debt, which you forgot that this country is dealing with a huge 1.1 trillion dollars of CC debt that remains fresh in the minds of economics. Long story short. I purposely see no purpose or any benefits of attaining any super high CLIs. You're better off with just one or two cards than attaining for duplicate of cards for the same if none.

Like how one of the your cards has a $100k CL. But what do you need all of other cards if one or two cards has a good enough benefits that all others has benefits but not as close to the ones that are top of the line. 🤷♀️
