If I participate in the US Travel Association offer for buying IHG points, and pay with my Chase IHG card, do I earn 5x points? Or just 1x because the points are sort of through an intermediary and not purchased directly from IHG?
No idea about the offer but points purchased on the IHG website are handled through points.com, which end up giving 1x on the IHG card.

I think it will just be 1x. Which package did you end up getting? This seems interesting because I was looking to get some points and glad I saw this. Not sure if I will end up getting the points though.

I ended up getting 25k IHG points for $150 to see how it coded on CSP. It was 2x "travel", and appeared as "Daily Getaways" (and nothing IHG-related). CSP seems to be a good card for these purchases.
My IHG points posted today. Not surprisingly, they are not elite-qualifying.
I also got 15k Wyndham points for $150. I've not stayed at a Wyndham property before, but Wyndham doesn't have award blackout dates. Manhattan in the summer is often expensive, so I can possibly get $200 to $300 of value from the points (if not more). When a $300 property has the same award price as a $75 one, some award redemptions are going to be more lucrative than others!
I will definitely try to get some Hyatt points tomorrow. If I can't, I'll get some more IHG and/or Wyndham points. With 10% back, $565/111111 points is under 0.51 cpp, and I find it easy to get 0.7 cpp or more on many redemptions.
Did anyone get any Hyatt points? The 2-3 second loading delay from the busy website was enough for me to miss out.
At least I can get (and use efficiently) lots of IHG points.
