Re: Unexpected Wells Fargo Secured Card Graduation

Ha!  They're sticking with the "60 days after activation of the new card" story, but I can't say for sure that I caught all the fine print he was saying.  ;-)

Re: Unexpected Wells Fargo Secured Card Graduation

Ha ha...that sounds so far away.  Maybe I can hurry up and get my card so I can activate it and get my money back.  I wasn't in a rush but now that I can get it back soon, i want it.  Smiley Happy

Once I get the card I will probably call and ask about how soon.

Thanks for posting in the thread because I actually forgot that it would be graduating soon.

Don't know if flashevo or brikays received their cards yet, but I hadn't, and decided to give Wells Fargo a call.

Justin there told me that my actual graduation date was June 30th, though I'd received the letter back in the middle of May.  I reviewed the letter again, and there was no indication of that date anywhere.  The closest thing to a date was a maybe-insinuation via a mention that if you prefer to decline the offer and keep the secured card, call by 6/29/13.

Just thought it was worth a mention in case anyone was concerned that their letter/new card was misdelivered, it could just be poor communication on WF's part.  Smiley Happy

I haven't received my card yet but the unsecured account is already reporting on EQ. Hopefully, my card will be in my mailbox when i get back from out of town.

Flashevo -

it's NOT showing as a completely new tradeline, just showing a different account number though with the same history as my secured.

Same credit limit.

Under the description, it changed from secured to credit card.

Statement usually closes between the 11th and 13th and as of today, the statement hasn't closed.

I hope this helps.

Re: Unexpected F Secured Card Graduation UPDATED: 7/9/2013

Thanks for the info.

I actually checked experian early in the morning and didnt notice the change but just checked and now I see the secured message gone as well as a new account # however the same history.  I kept my limit also.  I checked my WF account on wellsfargo and it now shows the old visa as well as the new one with the balance, etc transfered over as well.

I wonder if I can just transfer that money back into my account as it says available credit $9500 on the old account#, lol.
