I was approved for a Chase Freedom card last week and I finally got it yesterday. I'am not happy with my limit or rate. Does anybody know if Chase does automatic CLI or do u have to call and request it after a certain amount of time? Also will my rate ever decrease or am I locked into this sucky one?

What rate and limit did you get?
I had a sucky limit as well on Chase. From what I understand and from what the CSRs have said, Chase no longer gives CLIs. They will accept a customer initiated CLI with a HP. I was declined for one the first time, and then approved the next time 2 HPs though. My rate is 22.99% the highest of all my cards. Due to all of this, my Freedom gets SD. Which is sad because I love the rewards structure. I stick with my BofA 1-2-3 card instead. I wouldn't worry about the rate so much with Chase especially if you plan to PIF. The limit can be a burden though. Good luck!

They told you Chase no longer gives CLIs?? I've ready on this forum alot of individuals have received auto CLIs....some at 6 months, some after about a year..some have been a bit longer.. Keep hope alive!!! lol! If they do not show me any CLI auto love I have no choice but to wait a year to intiate one myself because I can't afford another hard pull this year.
They did but PLEASE understand that most CSRs in my experience don't really know and just spout off information without getting the correct information. I've had really polite CSRs tell me that it would be a HP for my BofA CLI but it was never a HP. They usually don't know the difference between the 2. When I called Chase I told them I didn't want a HP. I asked would it be a SP for a CLI and she said yes it's only a soft. I said ok put in the request. Request was approved but sure enough the HP showed up the next day!!!
So what I mean is don't always trust what the CSRs tell you. I think she was telling me that so I would go ahead with the request. She wanted me to believe that they would not increase automatically.
I have heard that Chase is very slow to give auto CLIs though YMMV

You are so right!!!! In my short time in dealing with CSRs I have had that feeling too! The information seems to change depending on who you get on the phone! LOL! And thanks for the advice about being careful re the Hard pull vs Soft pull.....I can't afford any more hard pulls, so I can't risk a CSR telling me "Oh it's only a soft pull" and then BAM getting an Alert about a Hard pull! LOL!!! Staying clear of that for the remainder of this year. lol! My limit is somewhat appropriate given the newnest of my credit history so I'll have to make it work!
I've had the Freedom for 7+ months now.
Limit was 1.4K and the APR is 22.99%
The APR doesn't bother me a bit. I PIF every month. And I use it to stack up points.
If the limit never gets auto-luv, it's no burden on me. I just want it to build up AAOA.
I won't be requesting a CLI with this card, but I'll be sure to see if I get auto-luv within the next year or so.
I used to get auto-luv from MBNA but that stopped in 2009 and has been stuck at the same level since.
I waited 5 years for my first (and last so far) Auto CLI. Truth to be told, chase card has not seen much action for 4 years. APR has never been adjasted.

According to your siggy, your EQ is 685. That's no where near prime rate. Sorry.
Thank you guys for your responses. I especially want to thank you learnin113 for your very unhelpful and unnecessary reply.
