United explorer, Discover it Student, American Express Cash

I am a college student and have a credit card with US bank with a $600 limit. I have a credit score of 717 but only 9 month history. BUT I have 12 inquires on my accont, all older than 3 months.  I want to apply for the united explorer card because I am a frequent flyer, or American express blue cash card but I am afriad I will not be approved for those. I am also looking at the Discover it Student card.

I want to know which card you guys suggest I apply for... THANK YOU!

Where did you get this 717 score and what credit report has the 12 INQ? Have you seen how many INQ are on the other 2?

USBank is your only card?

Go to Chase.com and try the pre-qual and see if you get offered anything.

same with Discover.

From a lender pull? Exoerian website is a FAKO not a FICO

FAKO means that it is not a real FICO score - the difference is the FAKO score is mostly for educational purposes and may not reflect a CS a lender usually uses. I say usually cause most lenders are going toward their own internal scoring method.

Consumers cannot purchase a FICO EX. So, your CS may or may not be 717

How about a Barclay Card?

Or GE Card, they do so many stores.... GE and Barclay pull TU and we can give you numbers to recon apps if not approved.

PayPal Mastercard, Walmart, JCPenney

Macy's would be good option too.

I think you would have a chance for the discover It student card, however you need to check your TU and EQ reports for their scores and inquiries as that is what Discover usually pulls. At this point, I highly doubt you will be approved for the BCE; after your history is at least one year, you might have a chance for a charge card from them, however I would wait until the majority of the inquiries on your EX report fall off.
