Unknown payment made to my credit cards

Ok so last week on Tuesday i logged into my credit card account (capital one) I have 3 of their cards. I noticed 2 of my cards had payments made. Payments that I DID NOT make. So i immedietly called Capital One and spoke to them. The first person i spoke to basically after telling "ok whats the problem" finally said ok the payments will be returned. I got off the phone an continued to look over my account online to realize someone had hacked my account! They changed my mailing address, email etc So i called back Capital One to get 3 new cards mailed to me and close the others. They completely deleted my online log in account and told me when i recieve my new cards to make a new log in and everything from scratch and again told me the payments that i did not make would be returned

Fast forward to now, I received all my new cards yesterday. After i registered my new account and activated all my cards i noticed the payments had not been returned. So i went to the captial one chat service and asked if there was any pending return payments on any of my cards... multiple times the chat rep told me "No, there is NO payments made pending a return" 

So now what???

I should also throw out there that the person who changed my account info and made the payments to my credit cards made the payments through the Phone. He called in and made the payments.

How strange!! Perhaps you would have better luck getting the payments returned if you called the executive office and asked them to do it. I think the reps don't give a crap many times and don't process things correctly.

So....someone made payments for you over the phone... was it from YOUR accounts?

No the payments werent made from my bank account. 

Lol yea i figure at this point i did what i was supposed to do immedietly after noticing it. I almost feel at this point i should count my blessings and keep it moving! haha

You've done what you could.  Some idiot tried to screw you and you caught It.  Whatever the payments amount to consider it payment for the aggravation.

I wonder if they were just testing to see if you would notice and if you didn't then they might have went shopping spree with your cards, or they made the payment so that they could take full advantage of your credit limit.
