Has anyone with the $49 card gotten an upgrade offer in 2022?
I used to get 5k upgrade offers frequently but didn't really have any interest in them until these changes came around.
I'm thinking about holding out for 5k or 10k points before I upgrade. But then again I waited too long for a better offer with the Hyatt $75 to $95? card upgrade and didn't get any upgrade points IIRC, just a higher AF.

Not yet but the upgrade offers in the past were dismal at best (5K points) to pay more for AF.
If the old discontinued card holders ($49 AF) will get an upgrade offer to pay for double AF, I'd want a lot more than 5K points.
Hoping they don't force you to upgrade without any benefits or lose your free anniversary night....

For me $50 in United TravelBank is worth say $45 cash (adjusting for a little complexity and the improbable-for-me chance of the funds expiring), and it looks like even light spenders get that perk. So if I'm understanding the changes correctly, I'd be effectively getting the other features for about $5.
