I thought I'd update, Us b paid the $250 sub on their shoppers card as soon as I met the spend, didn't have to wait for account post. Anyone interested, they've raised the sub to $300! Sadly, they've dropped the connect sub from $500 to $200. I've made Amazon one of the 6% stores, so I don't need the prime card. Still, the $200 sub with no spend is tempting...
That's awesome! I love watching you chase SUB's!
I'm looking for a good credit/checking combo. The idea is open a credit card, then make part of the spend with the opening deposit for a new checking. Some checking accounts will allow the initial deposit to come from a credit card. Regardless of the amount, id give myself style points.
The way I see it US Bank has been known to be a great bank to work with for a long time. The main issue is getting included as a customer to begin with. I have always had them issue their points or cash back immediately into my accounts as soon as I got past the spend requirements too. Also aside from my experience US Bank is the largest bank issuer of prepaid cards. The only issuers that are more common are private issuers like Vanilla and Black Hawk Networks. The only ones that might get close is WebBank but they are not there yet. I also am aware that US Bank was selected as my states issuer for benefits cards for EFT. You don't just randomly get selected for that as every senior citizen will be banging down your door when there is an issue even if it is just not knowing how to use it.
