So I'm almost at a year of having a Venture card and I'm thinking about consolidating my cards. I currently have 5 cards with Capital One (2 Ventures, 1 Platinum, 1 QS and 1 VentureOne). Has anyone consolidated their cards and immediately applied for more cards? I was thinking of getting another Venture card for the bonus miles and I have already gotten bonus's for both my existing Ventures. Will they seriously keep letting me consolidate Venture cards to get below the 5 card cap and then reapply for them again and again for the bonus?
There is often a note that you are only eligible for one bonus per card. I take that to mean if you received the Venture bonus miles, applying for another one later you will not get another bonus. Not sure if there is a time you could wait, but I know that the card companies do not make it easy for you to keep getting the bonuses,
Let us know if you find out different.
I have already received a bonus on 2 different Venture Cards. I also transferred my wife's 40k bonus to my card (when you still could) and ended up with over 150k miles at one point. With Venture Cards they give you the bonus as soon as you are eligible - even if you have had the bonus in the past.

I combined my QS1 to QS Visa and a week later combined 10K Venture(6 month old) to QS Visa. and about a week later I think, I double apped for another Venture and QS Visa.
Denied for Venture but Approved for QS Visa.
You could if you're qualified for another; however, you will eventually hit your max exposure (internal limit) with them.
