Venture One CLI but I passed

was originally approved on April 29 with a $7500 CL. Made my first charge on May 11 in the amount of $1045 for my car insurance to meet the spend requirement. First statement cut, paid $345 leaving a balance of $700. 2nd/3rd statement is set for July 15th, PIF the $700 balance on June 30th. Hit the luv button yesterday and was offered $500 to a total of $8000. Considering I auto-tuned myself to decline any increase less than $2500, I rejected it. I can understand why they lowballed since I only used it once but I've decided to make it my primary card going forward over the next 3months and try again. Hopefully they offer something better then... will report back again. Wish me luck

Use it heavy, make large payments, and then try again after next statement. Good luck!

Can't say I blame you.  They only offered me $250.  Had to say no.  Venture One wasn't my go to card the same way as the QS1, but I have better ones to turn to now.  I guess since Cap 1 is not feeling the luv from me, I won't be getting any luv in return.  Have my eyes set on BBVA signature Visa and Sallie Mae in the fall.  Good luck to you.  Wish you well.

@Anonymous for the tip @Anonymous, I appreciate it. I got a question, not sure if u will know but u did mention to use it heavily and make large payments. Now say I charge like $7k in one or more transactions, what would u consider a large monthly payment if I'm to repay the balance over time? Thanks again

I don't blame you OP. I've read several posts like yours recently. Good luck with your next limit increase attempt!
