Visa Black Card - Cancelled

After 2 years and before the $495 annual fee kicks in tomorrow, I cancelled the card.

The annual fee versus the value I get is not there, so I cancelled it.

I still pay annual fees on Diners Carte Blanche, Amex and Citi Prestige.

I may cancel Diners Carte Blanche as well . . . .

Just curious, what value did you think you were going to get from the card when you signed up for it. Just wondering what stood out vs the prime cards you have already?

Did you ask them to waive the AF? I heard people have good results with it.

I didn't ask since it would just delay cancelling down the road, did not care for it anymore. They did not offer too. All they said was you have some points you might lose....but it was not much so did not care. 

Looking back, I don't regret it.

yes, good riddance is my sentiment. eventually more people will cancel until black card dies.

I was wondering how to destroy the card short of sending it back to them, I realized I can keep it and:

1. use it as a paperweight

2. use it as a scraper, for example, I got new car reg. tags today so i used the steel card to scrape off the old sticker, works like a charm.
