Visa Signature Fandango 20% Gift Certificates!

Just utilized this benefit now! Although I don't go to the movies very often, I'm planning on going tomorrow, so figured I would take advantage! Bought a $25 gift certificate for $20, and about to buy a ticket now to see The Conjuring tomorrow morning Smiley Wink

So if anybody has a Visa Signature and is a movie buff (or looking for a gift for someone), it's a great offer to jump on Smiley Very Happy

You really wanna take the Fandango perk further?

Use that gift certificate to purchase 2 tickets on a Friday - Visa Signature has perk that gives card holders 2 for 1 for ANY movie that you buy and see on a Friday through Fandango. Join the AMC Stubs Club ($10) if you go to those theaters and you don't pay any Fandango processing fee. Walla...rewards galore!

I was just looking at all that! Thanks! I don't have the AMC Stubs Club yet, waiting to go tomorrow to sign up since they have that $10 rewards towards food and drinks going in in theaters, then paying for the Fandango ticket Smiley Happy

Also saw that Friday night "buy one+ get one free", so i'll definitely have to remember that for future movie dates!

Re: Visa Signature Fandango 20% Gift Certificates!

I generally buy my movie tickets at Costco -- AMC or Lowes, 2 tickets for $14 good for any showing. Only caveat is that you have to buy at theater and 3D ($4 per ticket), Imax, and certain theaters in Manhattan are a little extra.

Re: Visa Signature Fandango 20% Gift Certificates!

Not really a very good perk, just enough to slightly more than cover the Fandango fees (which will be $4.50 on three tickets...)

American Express Blue Cash Everyday - $11,000; American Express Platinum Cashback Everyday - £3,000; American Express Rewards Credit Card - £7,500; Aqua Reward Mastercard - £3,500; Bank of America Travel Rewards - $5,000; Barclaycard Freedom Rewards - £3,500; Citi Forward - $5,800; Discover It - $10,000; Halifax Clarity - £1,500; HSBC Platinum with Rewards - $5,000, MBNA Everyday Plus - £3,500

True, but as another poster mentioned, signing up for the AMC Stubs can help with it...when you sign up in theatres, you get $10 back from the $12 annual fee, then purchasing through fandango with it waives the fee, pretty much neutralizing that $12 you had to pay for the membership.

Compared to the other perks, definitely not "exciting". But worth noting if anybody is a fan of fandango.

Be sure to combine this perk with your 3x dining on the first Friday through CSP.  You can enjoy a nice meal with 3x the points, then a buy one get one at the movies.  Thank you CSP for making the first Friday of every month date night Smiley Wink

I buy 4 of these at a time and just use them as we go (we go out to movies a lot and always fandango). The BOGO is only in the summers as far as I have noticed.
