WAMU Mail Offer

I applied for the Wamu Card in March of this year and was denied. I'm not quiete sure what was the denial at that time. They Pulled EX and my score was 598 at that time. Today I received my 4th mail offer from them that I have been pre-approved.

With this Pre-approval does it mean that I'm going to get approve and what would they give me for CL. MY EX score is 650 as this month. Should I apply for this card again or throw the mail offer in the gargabe?

You have to wait 90 days with WaMu from your last application before you can apply again, pre-approval or not.  If you apply before 90 days is up, you get an auto-denial and have to wait 90 more days.

If your score stays the same after the 90 days I would apply. If Wamu is currently my favorite credit card. Good Luck!

IMHO toss it.  Try National City or someone else.  I dont do do-overs with CCCs.  I get pre-aprovals from them as well but I know that wont aprove me since I had a Providian card ub DMP.  Be carefull.

14 pre-approvals for me in 3 months..  and counting.

I will not apply.  Granted, my scores are about 75 points higher than they were the last time I applied with them (July 07), but I'm not going to to do.  No way.

Me too, I'm shredding them as we speak.  Every since Cabelas approved me for their Visa Card, I've been getting bombarded with WaMu pre-approvals.  SAY NO TO 2 CYCLE BILLING!!!!

They post balances twice per month, so it's more difficult to beat the dreaded utilization beast on your CR.

I just got another offer from them.  I kinda feel sorry for them.  It would be great to select which CCCs are allowed to send your a pre-approval offer.  Here is a snipet of a preppoval to send a pre-approval denied lettert:

To  Mr/Ms/Other BofA employee

Mr. Marty56 has reviewed your recent application to send him a pre-approval and he regrets to inform you that your company doesn't meet his pre-approval standards.  Sucks to be BofA.

I have had an account with WAMU since 5/08. The new account still has not appeared on my CR. My first statement is about to cut, maybe they will report then.
