WF & CAP1 Secured - When to ask for Fee waiver?

I have WF and CAP1 secured cards that will make two years old at the end of May/start of June.  When should I asked them to waive their respective fees?

Will they waive AF? Even I would love to get more info on this!

Re: WF & CAP1 Secured - When to ask for Fee waiver?

If you get Wells Fargo to ever waive an AF I would be very surprised. I've had a WF card since 1997 and they will not remove the AF or do a PC. I've called several times recently and even went into a branch for help. I got the same answer from all: we don't PC any of our cards and since the AF is part of my original agreement there is no way to remove it. Mine is a platinum card. Even though people that get the exact same card now don't pay an AF, I have to because it was in my terms from 1997. They want me to apply for a new card from them. Never going to happen.Smiley Frustrated

Re: WF & CAP1 Secured - When to ask for Fee waiver?

I believe people in the past have had success with them waiving the fees on the secured cards.  When I got both of these cards the lendors had policies in place that said they graduate secured cards.  This obviously isnt the case and I'm leaning towards closing them.  I may keep them open for one more year with AF but after that they are in the garbage.
