I've been looking to get the Chase Amazon VISA to up my cash back from Amazon from 2% with my Citi DC to 3%, as well as to round out my 3rd card. I'm planning on pulling the trigger this Friday after my DC reaches 6 months (hopefully along with a SP CLI on the DC itself) and know the current signup bonus is a $50 Amazon Gift Card.
With Halloween being next Tuesday and the Holiday shopping season starting right after (or already in some stores) I'm wondering if I should wait a few weeks for a better signup bonus. Is that something Amazon even does? I'm not in any rush to spend the gift card so waiting a few weeks won't kill me. I'd just hate sign up now and next week the offer is $100. Would it be a waste of time to just wait?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yea, the $70 Gift Card is if you have Prime and sign up for the VISA Prime card. I'd rather not chase categories with the Discover card. Currently I have the BOA 1/2/3 that I use exclusively as a gas card, hopefully soon the Amazon Card for 3% back at Amazon and the Citi DC for 2% back everywhere else. If the Walmart Card gave 3% back on in-store purchases I'd also be looking at that but unfortunately it only works online where it is just easier to use Amazon.
I'm leaning toward waiting till I actually start my holiday shopping for a better offer. Anyone know if they increased the bonus last year?
