@aleicgrant wrote:with walmart if I am not mistaken, you can request a CLI on the forth month of a new account?
Supposely you are eligible for a CLI every four statements. So yes, after your 4th statement cuts then ask for a CLI in your online banking/acct.
whats an ideal score needed to be approved on the walmart card. reason for asking is i dont want to make the same mistake i did when i applied for a citi card only to find out they are hard to get with

Well here are my scores and was approved right away online for $500
Transunion FICO = 673
Equifax FICO = 684
Experian FICO= 640
I app'd in Feb and was approved for the Discover card with an initial CL of $500. Received an auto CLI in June to $1,100 and last week used the LUV button and am now at $2,100.
DH applied and got a 250.00 limit. OMG. I got 400. Ridiculous. Only have it for the FICO score.
but we want to buy an expensive TV w/ the 6 months no interest. Wonder if we can use both cards and still get the no interest?
Also, I hit the LUV button after 2 statements (I know mistake). Will that make them re-set the 4 month CLI timeframe?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think it resets the 4 month CLI timeframe (correct me if I am wrong). You'll just get the notice in the mail stating not enough time at current limit (something along those lines).
Hi Booner,
I've had my Walmart CC for approximately 5 years now and still have a 0 balance. Initially I was approved for $500 CL, until I had a foreclosure hit my credit almost 3 years ago and they dropped my CL to $100. Approximately 10 months ago, I hit the request a credit line increase button and was granted another $100 increase for a total of $200 now.
Today, I just called and spoke to a CSR to inquire about the 12 month no interest financing I rec'd with my last month's statement, (I'm now enrolled in electronic statements), and about a CLI and whether or not it was a hard or soft pull. The CSR said it was a soft pull and asked what my yearly income was from all sources and how much of an increase I was requesting; I told him $500. Low and behold I received a CL increase of $500!!! This brings my credit limit to a total of $700, (not much), but it's enough to buy that new tv I have on layaway with them, and pay it nearly off in full by the end of next month.
I can't do anymore shopping with them or anyone else however, because I am scheduled to close on my home during the first week of January.
I am so happy!!!![]()
