Ok, here we go wuth WAMU's customer service again!  I called last night and got a rep in Texas (thank goodness!) and she told me that the card was by "invitation only" thru the mail.  I said,"Ok - thanks"!

I went to PetSmart's site, clicked on apply for the card and was approved for a 3k credit limit.  Looks like WAMU is being stingy to start off with but that's good enough for me.  I go to PetSmart at least 4 to 5 times a month so the rewards should rack up.

Can we believe anything the customer reps from WAMU say???Smiley Sad

They sound just like the reps at HSBC. Smiley Very Happy  Congrats on the card though. You know I'm not allowed to app for anything else, so I'm not even going to the site, how much are the rewards on that card?

Oh I just noticed your post on the other page about your checks. I have the ASPCA personal checks too and the checks for my business say "Save Lives, Spay & Neuter" above the signature line.  They gave you the option to put a phrase there, so I typed my own. Smiley Happy

Re: Wamu Petsmart Visa

BTW, Ms. Up, I'm assuming you are a dog owner?  How many? My daughter wants a dog and I'm
thinking about it.  She wants something on the lines of a terrierr or a Chihuahua (sp). Heck, what's one more mouth to feed?

Why do you think it's so hard for people to get the mesage that they must spay or neuter their pets?  Really, it's so sad.  It's better for the pet's health, too.  Well, some people need to be spayed or neutered! Smiley Very Happy (yeah, I know I'm bad)

I have 4 cats and 1 dog. I don't think I could live without a dog. I lost my Rottie a few years ago to cancer. She was the BEST dog I have ever come in contact with. Abused as a puppy, adopted as an adult and let me tell ya she was the most calm, even tempered, GREAT with kids, cats, etc. In fact my one cat used to walk by and whack her in the face and the dog would lay down on the floor and let out a loud sigh before putting her head down in defeat. 6 months after we lost her, I adopted another dog. It was so lonely. I think the worst part was walking in the house and not seeing her there when you open the door.

I have no idea why people just don't get the message about s/n. I even gave my neighbors literature about how we are up to around 40 dogs/cats born to every 1 human. I thought maybe that would get it to sink in, but nope...they don't care, just as many other people.

If you are teetering on the two, you may want to go with the Chi if you have cats.  Of course every dog is different, and no profile fits every dog, but some terrier breeds are known to have hard time breaking the habit of chasing after cats, etc.

Sounds great. I am tempted but my scores have already taken a hit from 3 CCC approvals this year.

Myfico also tells me that I should apply for credit that I really need but I really need the rewards...lol And I would love to have my dogs' picture on the card Smiley Happy

Re: Wamu Petsmart Visa

Oh Lord, another Chi in the neighborhood!Smiley Very Happy  My neighbor to the right of me has one, the neighbor to my left has a pit mix (a real sweetheart!  Abused and neglected but with love and patience a doll!), and the neighbor next to them has a Chi!  That little girl comes on my front stoop and eats the cat food I put out!  Everyone's getting in the act.  Gotta love animals.  Smiley Very Happy

I've got 4 cats (almost 5) but I love dogs, too.  Sometimes I think I am too tenderhearted about animals because I can cry at the drop of a hat if I even hear anything bad about them.  The boys across the street have a dog named Maxie and I'm always scolding them because they llet her loose form the yard without her leash.  Then she sprints across the street.  I'm terrified she's going to get hit by a car. How did I miss the part about having your pets picture on the card?  How cute!
Though, I'd never be able to pick who gets the spotlight. Hehehe.

Re: Wamu Petsmart Visa

Isn't that the cutest thing to have your pet's pic on a credit card?  I couldn't upload my cat
Dexter's pic on it. Smiley Sad  I guess it was too big so I'm going to find out how to make it fit and do it after I receive the card.  (I got the one with the doggie and kitty - too cute!)   If you can't upload at the time of application, you can do it later and get another card at no cost.
