On 3/13 I app'd for a wamu master card. I recieved a letter saying: thank you for your request, we regret that we are unable to open an account for you because our recoreds indicate that you had a account with us that was closed because it was not kept in good standing.
Now I know that I had an old providian account but it was closed due to inactivity and there are no baddies reporting on that old account so I just called and the woman did in fact say that I was correct and that she is showing the old account in GOOD standing! She said she is forwarding my app to the credit dept for review again and I will be notified in 7-10 days....
