Today I received an email claiming to be from Chase stating that my access is being blocked due to TOS violations. Of course there's a "validation" link (bogus!) provided in the body of the email. Sheesh. Now if they had sent this to my DH, he would have not hesitated to click that link! Scary, yes. This is my second such type of email claiming to be from Chase. Last month, I received one that read "Open Message attached document which require additional verification to avoid account suspension." That sure gets your attention, doesn't it? LOL The .pdf was a letter (blah, blah, blah) that contained a link to another bogus website.
I hope in posting this, that others will think before they click those links. These two emails will look real to a lot of people, unfortunately.
The inconsistency in fonts kind of give it away. Plus the threatening tone.
But my mother is the same way, she'll click on anything.
Did you forward this to Chase?
Thanks for the info. ![]()
