@UncleB Exactly! Didn't realize that I didn't write this but I have had a CLD on my Lowes card before I was balanced chased my scores were low nowhere near your's @jason0618 and I got back and I got to a higher CL then I had before.
I have an Amazon too. Good that you are PIF the card that can never hurt. You are also using it presumably more than once a month showing them some activity which is good. I don't have a Synchrony Car Care card my DH does. He actually uses it at his garage since nothing gets rewards their. Do you know when is the last time you updated your income for these cards? If it was for ex $80k when you applied update it! I'm sure that would help your case.
@jason0618 How many several cards, and are there any several changes on your reports ?
Don't let it get to you. Synchrony treated me very well and I'm not exemption, but I only had one account(PayPal) with very little use($10.00 average SB) and I was getting approved for limit increases...and btw I'm still considered new borrower by Bank's eyes.
@Rudy1 wrote:While that is true Synchrony hasn't always done this I have been CLD by them in the past and I have gotten higher limits. Though you maybe right with Synchrony you can never really know.
Yes, that's exactly my point. The overwhelming majority of posts I read here regarding Synchrony are bad--you know, mass closures of a person's accounts, that kind of stuff.
I've never been balance-chased by Sync (or anyone else), so it's good to hear an opposing viewpoint from someone whose CL was decreased, but ended up with higher limits--not closed cards. Thanks for the info!
I think I've decided that I'll pay off the furniture card and cut ties with synchrony. They helped with the build, but I've got discover and quicksilver, and to a lesser extent, merrick bank for major credit cards. Store cards don't really seem worth the effort at this point.
Do they ever spell out a specific reason for doing so?
I recently received a CLI on a store branded Sweetwater card, but have not made any purchases on the card yet. I'm curious to know what pattern they are looking for when they audit accounts.
