Hah, yeah, I'm the exact opposite with BOFA: I've had repeated issues with my checking account (and I've had it for over 15 years) but every other product I've had from them has been first class. I highly recommend their secured card if you can get it, other than possibly the NFCU card, it's the best one out there... though people have reported anecdotally that's it's harder than some others to obtain, it's still worth taking a shot.
Others have different experiences. I guess someday a lender will get it all right but probably not anytime soon.

No real reason to close it with online access, you can get at the money at pretty much any time.
Lender underwriting and products change all the time, and WF might lose the branch lodged in one of their anatomical body parts someday. Even BOFA who has completely irritated me with their checking circus lately, I won't close the account as I might want something more from them in the future.
I literally opened the account with minimum deposit just so I could get the credit card. I have no intentions of using them as my main bank (I bank with chase and ally), and they charge monthly fees for their checking accounts if I dont do direct deposit or carry a $500 balance daily, and I'd rather keep my money elsewhere.

Not completely my point: in this case you opened the account just for the credit card, you might want that account for something in the future as well.
$500 isn't a big deal to leave sitting in some random checking account which you can get at, or close, at any point in the future. Factor it into your reserves if you're looking at it as a waste otherwise. Also $500 is pretty cheap compared to Chase or BOFA come to think of it; however, you probably can get better fractional interest somewhere else... though fractional interest on such a small sum doesn't amount to much but YMMV.
My thoughts anyway.

It doesn't earn any interest. and I may be able to get to the $500 at any time, but the second I spend $1, I have to pay the monthly fee for my account. I'd have to put more than $500 in to cover any spending I do to keep my daily balance at $500.

I have a wells fargo account also to avoid the monthly fees i just direct deposit only a certain amount of my check into that account then transfer the money to my most used USAA account
I'd actually be a lot more worried about this "supposed" charge-off that they have listed with your name, apparently.
I agree. If information not correct, I would look into it.
