Is there any way to score a CLI with Wells without a HP?

I've been told by someone that if you try to get a CLI by phone and it doesn't give you an instant result then they could do a HP in that case. I had to try and cancel mine when I found that out but luckily in that instance, it was only a SP they did.

Yes, if you call in and ask it will be SP if the system approves or counters. Call during the business hours of their credit department. If further processing is required, they will transfer you over and state that a HP will be needed.
